Account deletion
How to delete your ChefSphere account from the iOS app, Android app, or web — what happens to your data, and how this page supports App Store and Google Play requirements.
This page is a plain-language summary of how to delete your ChefSphere OÜ (ChefSphere) account. It supports Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play user-data / account-deletion disclosure. The binding contract terms are in Terms of Service § 18.9 and the Privacy Policy.
Delete from the mobile app (iOS or Android)
- Open the ChefSphere app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete Account (wording may vary slightly by platform).
- Confirm when prompted (you may need to re-enter your password).
The app uses an authenticated request to ChefSphere OÜ to start account deletion. You must be able to sign in to complete this flow.
Delete from the web
- Sign in at https://chefsphere.app.
- Open Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm.
If your account settings are exposed under a different menu path in a given product surface, use the in-product Delete Account control once you are signed in — it calls the same compliance pipeline.
After you request deletion
- Your account enters a short grace period during which you may be able to cancel the request (exact timing is shown in-app).
- After that period, the account is permanently deleted; personal data is removed from our production systems within 30 days, and from rolling backups within the additional period described in the Privacy Policy.
- Records we must keep by law (for example accounting invoices, certain AML/KYC artefacts, and moderation / transparency obligations) are retained only for the statutory period, then deleted or anonymised as applicable.
Subscriptions and store billing
Deleting your ChefSphere account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Apple or Google. You must also cancel in the store:
- iOS: Apple ID subscriptions (or Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on device).
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
See Subscription & Auto-Renewal Terms and Terms § 18.8–18.10.
If you cannot access your account
Contact [email protected] or [email protected]. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity before processing a deletion on your behalf.
Technical reference (API)
Authenticated clients may call POST /api/v1/compliance/delete-account as documented for your app build. This endpoint is not a public form — you must be signed in.
Changes
We update this summary when our deletion flow or legal obligations change. The version and effective date at the top of this page follow the global legal bundle in https://chefsphere.app/legal.
